Year 4 vocabulary work

Year 4 created a word carpet today, to help with their creative writing.  Everyone responded to a recording of sounds and wrote words linked to emotion and setting.  They were then led through the words, blindfolded to heighten listening, to gain a deeper understanding of the setting. 

" I really thought I was there!"   " It made me jump when some words were whispered." 

This work is leading the pupils writing a suspense text .
