School Day
The school day starts at 8:50am and finishes at 3:20pm.
During a normal week, children spend 6.5 hours per day, and 32.5 hours per week in school.
Gates open at 8:45 and will close at 8:50am. Children will enter their class within this time frame and complete a morning challenge.
Morning PLaytime
At 10.30 am, children in Year 1 to Year 6 have a short break from their learning.
Reception children do not have a formal break as they are involved in continuous provision throughout the day; this means that children can choose to carry out their learning either indoors or outdoors. Towards the end of the school year children will start to experience the more formal Key Stage 1 breaks.
Lunchtime
Children in Nursery and Reception have their lunch between 11:25am and 1:00pm.
Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 have their lunch between 12:00pm and 1:00pm.
Afternoon Playtime
Children in Key Stage 1 have a short break at 2:00 pm.
Drop Off & Collection
At the beginning and end of the school day, parents should drop their child off at the appropriate gate. If normal arrangements have to be altered (eg you are delayed or another person is collecting your child), please let us know. This avoids any confusion or upset.If you have more than one child, all of your children will be picked up at the gate of your eldest child.
